Blood sample testing is a major part of medical tests and almost all the doctor advice for blood test to finalize their diagnostic report. If you are wondering how to draw blood from your body for the blood test, then you don't have to worry as this is not your job. A phlebotomist will do it for you in the diagnostic centre.
This article can be really helpful as it will provide you with essential information regarding how to draw blood or the right process of blood sampling that a patient will have undergo while providing the blood sample. The phlebotomist first checks for the identity of the patient and then makes the equipment ready. In sterilized condition, he identifies a distal vein in arm and ties a tourniquet just above the point of incision and asks the patient to clench his feast. A sterile needle is used to puncture the vein and the required amount of blood is drawn in to the needle.
Sterile cotton gauze is placed above the puncture site immediately after the needle is removed and the tourniquet is removed.
